SWISS SUPPLY. The national promotion association for supply, logistics and transport
The national supply with the areas of procurement, logistics, storage, transport, forwarding, packaging as well as disposal and recycling have been a system-relevant backbone of the Swiss economy not only since Corona. In Switzerland, one in five people, i.e. a total of over a million employees, is directly or indirectly involved in this area. Despite this central importance for the economy and the population, their contribution to performance is underestimated. The image is in need of improvement and there is often a lack of knowledge about the diverse job descriptions and career opportunities.
In order to improve the image of “Supply, Logistics and Transport” in Switzerland in a joint, committed and sustainable manner, seven organizations founded the association SWISS SUPPLY. With bundled forces, existing initiatives are strengthened and new joint activities initiated. The new association aims to promote the reputation of logistics, supply chain and transport in Switzerland and aims to inform and educate the public about
- the fundamental importance of value chains
- the contribution of the sectors responsible for the supply of goods and disposal / recycling to the economy and society as well as
- the diversity of job descriptions and career opportunities within these industries and functions.
We want to arouse interest and understanding in the public. And early enthusiasm for “our industry and tasks” and its diverse, future-oriented and meaningful activities among the youngsters. We show students and career changers our extensive career opportunities with opportunities in all directions. Moving together.

SWISS SUPPLY was initiated by its first director Andreas König and was launched on March 26.3.2021, 1 by the logistics, supply and transport organizations ASFL SVBL, ASTAG, GS60 Switzerland, procure.ch, SPEDLOGSWISS, the Swiss Logistics Foundation (sponsor) and the VNL Switzerland (member) founded with the legal form “Association” according to Art 3 ff of the Civil Code and based in Dietikon/ZH. Together with 21 other members and 31 cooperation partners, the 20 organizations currently represent over 000 companies and individuals.
