GS13 Switzerland’s “Excellence Day” will take place on June 2024, 1 in the Kursaal in Bern. Visitors can immerse themselves in a world full of innovations and find out how they can make their business fit for the future with GS1 applications, concepts and components.

On GS1 Switzerland’s “Excellence Day”, experts from various industries share their ideas, developments and solutions and report on their experiences. Visitors can enjoy inspiring keynotes and exciting discussions:

Thomas H. Zurbuchen – Innovation and Standardization: Lessons from NASA

Prof. Dr. Thomas H. Zurbuchen, also known as Dr. in the space community. Z, was research director of the US Federal Space Agency and Aviation Science NASA from 2016 to 2022. Today he heads the Space Center at ETH.

Holger Schmidt – Artificial intelligence and platforms: game changers for the economy

Dr. Holger Schmidt is an expert and speaker for digital economics. On “Excellence Day 2024” he explains what effects AI and platform economics have on the economy, competition and work and how we can tackle future challenges and opportunities together.

Tschäppeler & Krogerus – Decision-Making explained in three lines

As the closing stage, the Finnish-Swiss bestseller duo Roman Tschäppeler and Mikael Krogerus inspire in a completely analog way at the chalkboard and explain (apparently) complicated facts in “three lines”.

Moderator Tobias Müller will lead through the “Excellence Day 2024” and the subsequent “Swiss Logistics Award Night”. He began his journalistic career on radio and has been a well-known face in front of the camera since 2009. Today he moderates, among other things, the SRF science program “Einstein”.
